Here’s what SOMA’s up to:
April 3rd: Worship Gathering, Children’s Environment, and Fellowship Meal
We will be meeting at the regular time (11:15am) & place (the Berkshire) to share conversation, pray and sing together. We will be jumping back into our “Why We Do What We Do” series with Zack Harvey. Children’s Environment will be available for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. After the service, we will share in a light fellowship meal.
NAMING THE NEW SPACE
The deadline to vote is Sunday, April 3rd!
We received 50+ name suggestions for the new space! Thanks for all of your creative ideas! We have narrowed those names down to the four below and would like your input to chose the final name. Remember that we are not renaming SOMA, but choosing the name for the building. Please vote for just one name and let us know your feedback in the next week. Each name below has a short explanation of the thought process behind it.
- The Commons – representing a space where anyone is welcome and holds equal value
- The Well – representing a place of refreshment as well as remembering the story of Jesus with the woman at the well.
- The Sanctuary – representing a place of safety as well as noting the history of building as a church
- The Bridge – representing a place of connection as well as noting that Beaver Falls is a river town.
No matter which name is chosen, it will include the tagline “A Community Gathering Place” to further explain what the building is.

City House, an off-campus housing option for Geneva students, is currently accepting applications. City House is a co-ed Christian community living space, focused on learning to being a good neighbor, offering home-cooked meals and a lower room-and-board rate. If interested, you can find the application here.
If you’ve got something to share with SOMA’s community by way of prayer request or a call for help from the body, let me know and I’ll put those here.
