This dance class is for every woman – whether you’ve never taken a dance class or if you have, if taking a dance class terrifies you or if it doesn’t – this is for you! It’s about community, moving together, getting funky and feeling good! Pay what you are able up to $5. We’ll meet at The Well (1401 6th Ave) from 7:30pm – 8:30pm for four weeks. Contact Julia for more information or with any questions at Crawford.Julia@gmail.com or 610-551-4988.

Garden Night – Monday, June 6

We’re working together next on June 6th at the community garden. We’ll be working from  6:00- 7:30pm at the garden (1st Ave & 16th Street downtown). Join in!

Block Party & Poetry Slam – June 7

We are partnering with TRAILS to celebrate our new location with a block party for our new neighbors! We want to have food, a poetry slam, a bounce house, and other things for kids to do, but we’ll need plenty of help. Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Kid’s Activities – we need people to plan and/or volunteer to help out with things like face painting, games, etc.
  2. Set up and tear down on the day of the event
  3. Food Prep – this includes people willing to be stationed at the grills, but also people who are willing to bring side dishes and desserts.
  4. Poetry Slam – share your poems by doing spoken word or reading them!

If you are interested in getting involved with any of these areas, please reply to this email.

Summer of Psalms – starting June 14th

Every Tuesday this summer @ 7pm at The Well, beginning June 14th, we’ll have a Bible study for anyone who wants to join in.  Each week we’ll take a look at a different Psalm.  No need to sign up – come when you can!

If you’ve got something to share with SOMA’s community by way of prayer request or a call for help from the body, let me know and I’ll put those here.

Charles’s Mother
Charles’s mother Shariley just received a new heart. Please keep her in prayers as she heals and adjusts.
