SOMA Picnic Cancelled

Due to this weekend’s forecast of heavy rain and thunderstorms, rather than stare anxiously at the sky all day Saturday, we’re calling off the SOMA picnic in advance.
But for those who need to cook out this weekend, there’s good news!  On Sunday afternoon the first week of our 9-week series in Philippians will kick off with – you guessed it – a cookout (with a shelter in case of rain)!  If you’re planning to join us for this time of food and great conversation, you can either meet at The Well at 4:45pmand drive up with us, or meet at Pastor Steve Brotzman’s farm @ 5pm (located at 107 Hazen’s Bend, Ellwood City, PA 16117 – about 15 minutes from downtown Beaver Falls).
Also, remember to join us Sunday @ 10am at The Well before SOMA’s worship gathering for the first in a 5-week conversation entitled Disunity in Christ, based on Dr. Christena Cleveland’s book of the same title, about uncovering the hidden social forces that try to keep us apart while God’s Spirit gives us the power to be unified in Christ.  Dr. Lisa Hosack, the chair of the sociology and social work department at Grove City College, will lead us in this conversation – hope you can make it!
