Week of January 30

Here’s what SOMA’s up to:

WORSHIP GATHERING

February 5th: Worship Gathering, Children’s Environment, and Fellowship Lunch
We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray and sing together. We’ll be talking about the year ahead for SOMA and looking at Mark 6. Children’s Environment will be available for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. After the service, we will have a light fellowship meal.

10:00am – Christian Community Development class – Week 2

We are holding a 6-week Sunday morning class on the principles of Christian Community Development.  God has used CCD to shape SOMA’s culture for the last 5 years, and this is a chance to learn about it in more detail.  We’ll meet at 10am in the basement, no sign up needed.  Visit www.ccda.org to learn more about the Christian Community Development Association.

6:00pm*  – CCO Fellowship

Each Sunday we will have a time for college students to hang out together from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. Each week will look different so join the CCO at The Well Facebook group to stay informed!

*Note the new time!

SUNDAY RESOURCES
Recordings
We are recording our Sunday messages once again! You can listen to them here. That same link can also be found at the bottom of our website.

SUGGESTED SPIRITUAL PRACTICE:

Find an unfamiliar story in the Gospels – one you don’t usually spend much time with – and prayerfully spend time with it every day this week while asking Jesus to surprise you.

COMMUNITY CONCERNS

If you’ve got something to share with SOMA’s community by way of prayer request or a call for help from the body, let me know and I’ll put those here.

Jerry’s Brother
Jerryn Carson’s brother, after a struggle with cancer, passed away last Monday.  Please pray for the Carson family, especially for Jerryn’s mother, for whom her brother had been caring.
Maci Patterson
Maci would like continued prayers for her pregnancy and family relationships, especially in this next month.
