Here’s what SOMA‘s up to:
WORSHIP GATHERING
December 17th: Worship Gathering, Communion, Children’s Environment, and Fellowship Meal
We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray and sing together. For the third week of Advent, Pastor Marc will be preaching in our “Worth the Wait” series and we will share in communion together. Children’s Environment will be available for kids inkindergarten through 5th grade. After the service, we will share in a fellowship meal together.
4:45pm – Kid’s Movie Night
All elementary-aged kids are invited to come to The Well from 4:15-6:45pm on the third Sunday of each month. We will show a kid-friendly movie and provi
Donations Needed: We are looking for some donations for movie night on December 17 for our interactive Elf movie. If you would like to help with this, please drop donations of mini marshmallows, cookies, and candy canes off at The Well by Sunday, December 17. Thank you!!!
GIVING UPDATE
THIS WEEK
The Well open for Reading Day – Tuesday, December 12th
The Well will be open from 8am – 4pm on Tuesday for Reading Day. We’ll have coffee and lunch for students. Come use the space as an alternative to studying on campus!
Drop In Hours – Friday, December 15th
Join in our Friday open hours at The Well! Everyone is welcome to come use the space from 10am – 4pm. Free coffee, lunch, and wi-fi.
UPCOMING
Our Angel tree tags are hanging on the tree on our Advent table. There are 2 tags for each child, one for clothes items and one with toy ideas. Each tag represents around $20-$25 worth of gifts, so each child should receive $40-$50 worth of gifts.
Christmas Eve with Ashes to Life
We’ll be joining our friends at Ashes to Life Ministries again this year for a Christmas Eve gathering. We’ll meet @ 3pm at their place: 831 4th Ave inBeaver Falls.
Christmas Day Community Dinner with BFCA
For the past 24 years, the Beaver Falls Christian Assembly Church has hosted a community dinner on Christmas Day, serving as many as 1,200 people during the day! The dinner takes place from 11:30am-3pm at the Beaver Falls High School.
Volunteer and Donation Information: Items needed for donation:
hygiene products and new scarves, socks, gloves, and hats (only), and monetary
donations. To volunteer or donate, contact CARE Outreach Ministry at 724-846-3751.
This is your opportunity to learn more about Soma’s mission and sign on to partner with us as we take the next step in our community life together. There will be two Soma Mission Partnership classes offered: Saturday, January 27 and Saturday, February 3, both from 10 AM to 3 PM. Please choose one date or the other to attend.
The Pattersons are looking for help with getting transportation to and from appointments. They recently moved to College Hill. We are looking to put together a team of people who are available to provide a ride once per month. If you are able, get in touch with Dave Slebodnik (724-875-7286).
