WORSHIP GATHERING

March 4th: Worship Gathering, Communion, Children’s Environment, and Fellowship Meal
We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray, and sing together. We’re continuing this Sunday in our lenten series on Covenant, looking at Moses & the 10 Commandments and we will share in communion together. Children’s Environment will be available for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade.  After the service, we will share in a light fellowship meal.

10:15am Sunday Morning Class on the Cross – Week 5 of 9
Have you contemplated the cross of Jesus? What happened there? What was said there?  Starting February 4th, Randy Rossomme will lead a study on the cross and the seven “words” from the cross. You are invited to participate each Sunday morning at 10:15am for nine weeks.

After the worship gathering – Learning to Tell Our Jesus Stories Workshop

We recognize that not all of us have had much practice sharing our testimonies, so we’re hosting a workshop/training time after the worship gathering on Sunday, March 4th.  During this time we’ll walk through the basics of how to tell the story of when we were introduced to Jesus, and what difference he makes in our lives.
Men’s Night – Mondays
Every Monday @ 6:30pm at The Well will be a Men’s Night for guys to meet, hang out, and encourage each other. All men are welcome!

Youth Dance Class – Thursday, March 1st
Offered for ALL children and youth ages 5+ with drop in and ongoing registration. Pay as you go and pay what you are able options are available. Winter session: January 18 – March 15. Class is held Thursdays, from 5:30-6:30pm at The Well. Cost is $25/session. Email crawford.julia@gmail.com to join in – or just show up!
Women’s Movement Group – Thursday, March 1st

We are still dancing together as we expand our movement range and honor our stories! Winter session: January 18 – March 15. Class is held Thursdays from 7-8pm at The Well. Pay what makes you happy ($5-10/class suggested)

Drop In Hours – Friday, March 2nd
Join in our Friday open hours at The Well! Everyone is welcome to come use the space from 10am – 4pm. Free coffee, lunch, and wi-fi.

Recovery Community Group – Fridays
This community group is for anyone struggling in some kind of addiction and looking for Christian community support. It will meet on Fridays @ 12:30pm at The Well.

Neighborhoods of Hope Prayer Walk – March 10

Our next Neighborhoods of Hope prayer walk will take place on Saturday, March 10th. We will meet at The Well at 10am. Kids are welcome to join in as we pray for our neighborhood!

Sunday Conversation about SOMA’s discipleship – March 11

Our leadership is trying to get a feel for how well we’re doing in equipping our diverse church body for faithful life & witness. Your input is key in this, so please join us to share at The Well at 6:30pm.

“Learning from Our Past” Beaver Falls Lecture Series – first lecture: March 15
Join the Beaver Falls CDC and City house for their annual three-part lecture series around the theme of “Learning from Our Past”.  Lectures will take place on Thursday, March 15th, Wednesday, March 28th, and Wednesday, April 11th. All lectures are free, open to the public, and will take place in the Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls at 7pm. 

Kids Movie Night – March 18
All elementary-aged kids are invited to come to The Well from 4:30-6:45pm on the third Sunday of each month.  We will show a kid-friendly movie and provide dinner. All kids must have an activity release form on file in order to stay for the event.  

Full Member Worship Gathering – April 8

This is our worship gathering where SOMA will be received as a full member church in the EPC.  Mission partners will also be received during this service.
Community Groups
Groups meet at various times to study scripture, be together, eat together, and serve together. Sign up for a group on the visitor card or by replying to this email. 

College Student Opps

Get in touch with Dave or reach out on the student facebook page to sign up for either of these opportunities.
Small Groups – Weekly small groups are starting up! They are designed to fit easily into your schedule and give you intentional time talking about faith & life with a small group of people.
Family Connections – We’re creating more intentional opportunities for students and Soma families to connect with one another.  You’ll meet together once a month for a hang out, meal, or coffee to get to know each other more.

Aiden’s Family

Scott & Melanie Katip’s young nephew Aiden, who was badly injured in a fire last week, passed away a few days later.  Please keep his family in your prayers.
