Community Pentecost Worship Service – Sunday, June 4th
On Sunday, June 4th, we will not be meeting for our usual Sunday morning worship at The Well. Instead, we will be joining with at least 5 other Beaver Falls churches for a Community Pentecost Worship Service. This is a beautiful opportunity to worship with other believers in our city. The service will start at 10:30am and will be held at the Beaver Falls High School.
VBS at FPC – June 12- 15
This year’s VBS theme is “Maker Fun Factory” and will run from 9:00am – 11:30am on June 12-15th at First Presbyterian Church in Beaver. Registration opens in May for kids ages 4 (by September 1st) to entering 6th grade; registration forms will be available on the SOMA table. If rides are needed or you are interested in helping with VBS, email Kristen at kristen.slebodnik@gmail.com .
Open Hours Volunteers Needed
We are looking for some more volunteer staff for Open Hours at The Well, especially with extended Friday hours and summer schedules. Contact Dave (daveslebodnik@gmail.com) if you are available to lend your time on Friday mornings/afternoons once a month.
Pastor March’s Sabbatical – June 4 – September 3
Pastor Marc will be taking a three-month sabbatical this summer as a time to rest and pursue his studies. Don’t worry – we will continue as a worshipping body while he is away! Please see the attached Sabbatical FAQ for more of the details about this time period.
SUNDAY RESOURCES
Recordings
We are recording our Sunday messages once again! You can listen to them here. That same link can also be found at the bottom of our website.
SUGGESTED SPIRITUAL PRACTICE
Each morning this week, read Ephesians 2:18-20, and ask God to show you the depth of his grace in your life. Then, ask God to open your eyes to how you can show that same depth of grace to others as you go through your day.
COMMUNITY CONCERNS
If you’ve got something to share with SOMA‘s community by way of prayer request or a call for help from the body, let me know and I’ll put those here.
Haiti Mission Trip
Simone, Kamera, & Amanda shared with us this Sunday that they will be going to Haiti in May with Haiti H2O and their need for financial support in order to make the trip happen. If anyone wants to support them in their learning, they can make out a check to SOMA with ‘Haiti’ in the memo.
Lisa Washington
Lisa asks for prayer for her family to have unity.
Pattersons
Please continue to pray for Tyler and Maci’s relationship with each other and with family, particularly Maci’s mom.
