Week of August 15

Here’s what SOMA’s up to:

August 21st: Worship Gathering, Children’s Environment, and Fellowship Meal
We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray and sing together. The message this week is “Jesus is Lord: Politics & the Kingdom of God,” talking about how we engage in our nation’s political machine as friends and followers of Jesus. Children’s Environment will be available for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. After the service, we’ll share in a fellowship meal together.

Please see this Giving Update to check out where SOMA is standing financially at the mid-point of the year. As always, more specific detail is available if you would like to see it.

Summer of Psalms – Tuesday, August 16th

Every Tuesday this summer @ 7pm at The Well we’ll have a Bible study for anyone who wants to join in.  Each week we’ll take a look at a different Psalm.  No need to sign up – come when you can!

SOMA’s Annual Picnic – September 17

Everyone is invited to celebrate the year with a picnic on Saturday, September 17th! It will be hosted at Doug & Jerryn Carson’s home (2200 6th Ave, downtown Beaver Falls) from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Please bring a side dish to share!

If you’ve got something to share with SOMA’s community by way of prayer request or a call for help from the body, let me know and I’ll put those here.
Zack Virgil
Zack has now moved to Pittsburgh to be closer to the medical resources he needs. Let’s be praying for him during this transition.
