Help Rebuild Richwood

For 10 weeks, starting in September, we’re invited to join FPC Beaver in their effort to send volunteers to Richwood, WV for 4-day trips to help them rebuild their community after the massive flooding of a couple months ago.  If you’d like to learn more about joining in this work, contact Pastor Marc at info@thesomagathering.org.

Kid’s Movie Night – starting in October

We’d like to start hosting movie nights for elementary school kids at The Well on Sunday evenings once per month. To pull that off, we’ll need some volunteers who are willing to hang out with the kids during the movie and help serve food. Clearances are required, which mostly can be obtained online for free, and help is available to walk through that process. We’re also asking for food donations, such as hot dogs and chips, to serve at each movie night. If you are willing to help out in either of these areas, please reply to this email or talk with Kristen Slebodnik.

We are recording our Sunday messages once again! You can listen to them here. That same link can also be found at the bottom of our website.

Discipleship Documents

Below are the discipleship documents that were mentioned on Sunday:

Discipleship in Relationship – Check out the available ways that we can be following Jesus together.

Discipleship Process – This is SOMA’s official document on our discipleship process, looking at things that we cultivate and encourage.

If you’ve got something to share with SOMA’s community by way of prayer request or a call for help from the body, let me know and I’ll put those here.

Tyler & Maci
Tyler and Maci are continuing their search for a new place to live and would like prayers that the right home would be found soon. They have a few weeks left before they need to leave their current place.

Robin asks for prayer for her dad, Sue, Linda, Ocie, and her children who all need healing work in their lives. She also asks for prays for herself to find strength in the Lord and do what she knows she needs to do.
