Week of December 19th
Here’s what SOMA’s up to:
WORSHIP GATHERING
We will not be meeting together for our regular time of worship on Sunday, December 25.
Instead, you are encouraged to participate in the following:
Christmas Eve with Ashes to Life – Saturday, December 24 at 3:00pm
We’ll be joining our friends at Ashes to Life Ministries again this year for a Christmas Eve gathering. We’ll meet at 3:00pm at their place: 831 4th Ave in Beaver Falls.
Attending/ Volunteering for the Christmas Day Dinner – Sunday, December 25
For the past 23 years, the Beaver Falls Christian Assembly Church has hosted a community dinner on Christmas Day, serving as many as 1,200 people during the day! The dinner takes place from 11:30am-3:00pm at the Beaver Falls High School. All are welcome to eat! If you’re interesting in donating or volunteering to help serve dinner, contact 724-846-3751 and ask for Rebecca.

UPCOMING
Open Hours Volunteers Needed
We are looking for some more volunteer staff for Open Hours at The Well, particularly for Wednesday, December 28th (from 7-10am) and Friday, December 30 (from 10am-1pm). If you are available for those dates or would like to be involved during Open Hours on other dates, please let Dave know (daveslebodnik@gmail.com)
Richwood Work Trip – Postponed
Originally set for December 1st-4th, the trip to Richwood has been postponed until early 2017. Stay tuned for more details! The plan has been that a team from SOMA, Tiger Pause, & Geneva College will work alongside the men and women of Richwood, West Virginia as they rebuild their community following extreme flooding several months ago. If you’re an adult interested in being a part of this team, email info@thesomagathering.org, or call Pastor Marc at 724.774.6398, ext 104.
Women’s Movement Group
The next session will start up again after the New Year. All women are welcome to join in!
SUGGESTED SPIRITUAL PRACTICE
During the Advent season, check out this daily Advent Devotional provided by the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

COMMUNITY CONCERNS
If you’ve got something to share with SOMA’s community by way of prayer request or a call for help from the body, let me know and I’ll put those here.
Tyler & Maci
The Pattersons would like prayer for their relationships with family and each other, especially during the Christmas season.
