Here’s what SOMA’s up to:
WORSHIP GATHERING
January 15th: Worship Gathering, Communion, Children’s Environment, and Fellowship Lunch
We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray and sing together. We will be talking about communion and looking at Matthew 26. Children’s Environment will be available for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. We will share in communion together. After the service, we will have a light fellowship meal.
4:15pm – Kid’s Movie Night
All elementary-aged kids are invited to come to The Well from 4:15-6:45pm on Sunday, January 15th! We will be showing a kid-friendly movie and providing dinner. All kids must have an activity release form on file in order to stay for the event.
7:10pm – CCO @ The Well
Each Sunday we will have a time for college students to hang out together at The Well from 7:10 – 8:45pm. Each week will look different so join the CCO at The Well Facebook group to stay informed!
THIS WEEK
Drop In Hours – Wednesday, January 11th
The Well will be open for anyone in the community to come enjoy the space, use the wifi, and have some coffee from 7:00am – 10:00am every Wednesday.
Men’s Night – Wednesday, January 11th
Every Wednesday @ 6:30pm at The Well will be a Men’s Night for SOMA guys to meet, hang out, and encourage each other.
Women’s Movement Group – Thursday, January 12th
The winter session is here! All women are welcome to join in this movement group, whether you love to dance or it makes you nervous. Pay what makes you happy (suggested $5/class). We’ll meet at The Well from 7:00pm – 8:00pm.

Drop In Hours – Friday, January 13th
Join in our Friday open hours at The Well! Anyone is welcome to come use the space from 10:00am – 1:00pm.
UPCOMING
Night of the Arts in honor of MLK – January 16th
Geneva College will be hosting the 6th Annual Night of the Arts on Monday, January 16th. This event is held honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It starts at 7:00pm in Skye Lounge (located in the Student Center) with a dessert and jazz reception. At 7:30pm a program of musical performances, video presentations, and original readings will begin. All are welcome to attend.
Exploration Meeting for Open Table – January 17th
On Tuesday, January 17th, SOMA will be hosting an Exploration Meeting for The Open Table, a national church-based poverty alleviation process that is coming to Beaver Falls. We’ll meet at The Well @ 7pm – come to learn more about how you can be involved in someone’s journey out of material poverty. Contact Pastor Marc if you’re planning to attend. Sunday morning Christian Community Development class – starting January 29th
Starting January 29th, we’ll be holding a 6-week Sunday morning class on the principles of Christian Community Development. God has used CCD to shape SOMA’s culture for the last 5 years, and this is a chance to learn about it in more detail. We’ll meet at 10am in the basement, no sign up needed. Open Hours Volunteers Needed
We are looking for some more volunteer staff for Open Hours at The Well, particularly for Wednesday, December 28th (from 7-10am) and Friday, December 30 (from 10am-1pm). If you are available for those dates or would like to be involved during Open Hours on other dates, please let Dave know (daveslebodnik@gmail.com)
