Here’s what SOMA’s up to:
WORSHIP GATHERING
July 9th: Worship Gathering, Communion, and Potluck Lunch
We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray and sing together. Jeff Arnold from First Presbyterian Church in Beaver will be preaching this week and we will share in communion together. After the service, we will have our monthly potluck lunch; please bring a dish to share if you are able!
THIS WEEK
Farmers’ Market – Monday, July 3rd
Municipal Parking Lot, Corner of 8th Avenue & 12th Street. Every Monday from 3:30-6:30pm.
Men’s Night – Monday, July 3rd
Every Monday @ 6:30pm at The Well will be a Men’s Night for guys to meet, hang out, and encourage each other. All men are welcome!
Independence Day Parade & Fireworks – Tuesday, July 4th
Midland will have an Independence Day parade at 10am on Midland Ave. Fireworks are at 10pm.
Garden Work Night – Wednesday, July 5th
Each Wednesday we will have our summer community garden work nights. Meet at the garden (located at 15th St & 1st Ave) from 5-7pm to help out!
Summer Youth Dance Class (3rd week)- Thursday, July 6th
This dance class is for all kids and youth ages 5 and up! We will be exploring Modern Dance techniques while we cultivate our creativity and strengthen our choreographic voice! Taught by Julia Crawford Bacon, the class will be held at The Well from 5:30 – 6:30pm each Thursday from June 22 – August 3. Join in when you can! Cost is $5 per class. Women’s Movement Group – Thursday, July 6th
This summer we are going to keep moving and celebrating our stories. Don’t let fear keep you. Come dance. 7:00-8:00pm at The Well. Pay what makes you happy! ($5-$10/class suggested)
Drop In Hours – Friday, July 7th
Join in our Friday open hours at The Well! Anyone is welcome to come use the space from 10:00am – 4:00pm.
Friday Night at the Red House – Friday, July 7th
Hosted on the first Friday of every month by Beaver Valley Christian Fellowship, this coffeehouse event provides music, snacks, and coffee from 7-9pm. Located at 903 8th Ave, Beaver Falls.
UPCOMING
5-Day Club – July 10 – 14
We will be hosting a 5-Day Club at The Well on July 10 – 14 from 3:30-5pm. Hosted by the Child Evangelism Fellowship, this week will be filled with fun activities, crafts, & Bible lessons. All kids ages 5-12 are invited to come. Email kristen.slebodnik@gmail.com to sign up or visit the SOMA table.
Friends & Family Day at Second Baptist Church – July 16
On Sunday, July 16 we will not be meeting at The Well for our normal worship gathering. Instead, we will be joining Second Baptist Church (2322 10th Ave, Beaver Falls) for their annual Friends & Family Day service at 10:00am followed by lunch & a carnival in the parking lot.
Help Needed – Second Baptist has asked us to help with face painting and running a book table at the carnival following the service. If you are available to help with either, email kristen.slebodnik@gmail.com
Kid’s Movie Night – July 23
All elementary-aged kids are invited to come to The Well from 4:15-6:45pm on Sunday, July 23. We will be showing a kid-friendly movie and providing dinner. All kids must have an activity release form on file in order to stay for the event.
Open Hours Volunteers Needed
We are looking for some more volunteer staff for Open Hours at The Well, especially with extended Friday hours and summer schedules. Contact Dave (daveslebodnik@gmail.com) if you are available to lend your time on Friday mornings/afternoons once a month.

Tyler’s Grandmother
Tyler Patterson asks for prayer for his grandmother, Gloria Tilliman, who has cancer.
Rich Townsend
Rich had a stroke and fractured his skull. Please pray for his healing.
Henry Marshall
Henry has diabetes and a degenerative bone disease that has required many surgeries. Please pray for his health.
