Here’s what SOMA’s up to:

WORSHIP GATHERING

August 13thWorship Gathering, Communion, & Potluck

We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray and sing together. Martha Schartner from FPC will be joining us to share the message this week and we will share in communion together. After the service, we will have our monthly potluck lunch so please bring a dish to share with 6-8 people if you are able!

THIS WEEK

Farmers’ Market – Monday, August 7th

Municipal Parking Lot, Corner of 8th Avenue & 12th Street. Every Monday from 3:30-6:30pm.

Men’s Night – Monday, August 7th

Every Monday @ 6:30pm at The Well will be a Men’s Night for guys to meet, hang out, and encourage each other. All men are welcome!

Garden Work Night – Wednesday, August 9th

Each Wednesday we will have our summer community garden work nights. Meet at the garden (located at 15th St & 1st Ave) from 5-7pm to help out!

No Dance 

Both the Youth Dance Class and the Women’s Movement Group are on a break currently. The WMG will start back up on August 24th. The youth class will start back up later in September if there is interest.

Drop In Hours – Friday, August 11th

Join in our Friday open hours at The Well! Anyone is welcome to come use the space from 10am – 4pm.

 

UPCOMING

Open Hours Volunteers Needed

We are looking for some more volunteer staff for Open Hours at The Well, especially with extended Friday hours and summer schedules. Contact Dave (daveslebodnik@gmail.com) if you are available to lend your time on Friday mornings/afternoons once a month.

COMMUNITY CONCERNS
If you’ve got something to share with SOMA’s community by way of prayer request or a call for help from the body, let me know and I’ll put those here.

Rides for Tyler and Maci
The Pattersons are looking for help with getting transportation to and from appointments. They live in New Brighton. If you are able to help out, get in touch with Dave Slebodnik (724-875-7286).

Kevin
Kevin was diagnosed with cancer and is starting chemo this week. Please keep him in your prayers.
