Here’s what SOMA’s up to:
WORSHIP GATHERING
August 20th: Worship Gathering & Fellowship Meal
We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray and sing together. Brad Frey, a professor at Geneva College, will be sharing a message around Amazement. Children’s Environment will be available for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. After the service we will share in a meal together.
THIS WEEK
Farmers’ Market – Monday, August 14th
Municipal Parking Lot, Corner of 8th Avenue & 12th Street. Every Monday from 3:30-6:30pm.
Men’s Night – Monday, August 14th
Every Monday @ 6:30pm at The Well will be a Men’s Night for guys to meet, hang out, and encourage each other. All men are welcome!
Garden Work Night – Wednesday, August 16th
Each Wednesday we will have our summer community garden work nights. Meet at the garden (located at 15th St & 1st Ave) from 5-7pm to help out!
No Dance
Both the Youth Dance Class and the Women’s Movement Group are on a break currently. The WMG will start back up on August 24th. The youth class will start back up later in September if there is interest.
Drop In Hours – Friday, August 18th
Join in our Friday open hours at The Well! Anyone is welcome to come use the space from 10am – 4pm.
UPCOMING
Women’s Movement Group – August 24
This fall we are going to keep dancing together as we expand our movement range and honor our stories! The early fall session will begin on August 24 and run until October 5. Class is held Thursdays from 7-8pm at The Well. Pay what makes you happy ($5-10 suggested)
First Day of Class for Geneva students – August 28
Youth Dance Class – September 7
This class is for ALL children and youth ages 5 and up! We will be expanding our movement range, learning meaningful dances, and nurturing our artistic voice! Pay as you go and pay what you are able options are available. Drop in and ongoing registration welcome. The early fall session will begin on September 7 and run until October 5. Class is held Thursdays, from 5:30-6:30pm at The Well. Cost is $25/session
GET INVOLVED
Rides for Tyler and Maci
The Pattersons are looking for help with getting transportation to and from appointments. They recently moved to College Hill. We are looking to put together a team of people who are available to provide a ride once per month. If you are able, get in touch with Dave Slebodnik (724-875-7286).
Aliquippa Impact Positions
Aliquippa Impact is looking to hire 2 more part-time youth workers for their after school program. If you are interested, check out the job description and then email Brandi Pupi at aim.bpupi@gmail.com for an application.
Open Hours Volunteers Needed
We are looking for some more volunteer staff for Open Hours at The Well, especially with extended Friday hours and summer schedules. Contact Dave (daveslebodnik@gmail.com) if you are available to lend your time on Friday mornings/afternoons once a month.

Kevin
Kevin was diagnosed with cancer and has started chemo. Please keep him in your prayers.
Darcie
Darcie’s group home is a stressful place for her to live and she is trying to get an apartment on her own. She also asks for prayer for her mom’s appointment with a gastrointestinal surgeon.
