Here’s what SOMA’s up to:
August 27th: Worship Gathering & Fellowship Meal
We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray and sing together. The de Jeu’s are back from sabbatical this week! Pastor Marc will be bringing us the message from Mark 1 as we talk about Rest. After the service we will share in a meal together.
Farmers’ Market – Monday, August 21st
Municipal Parking Lot, Corner of 8th Avenue & 12th Street. Every Monday from 3:30-6:30pm.
Men’s Night – Monday, August 21st
Every Monday @ 6:30pm at The Well will be a Men’s Night for guys to meet, hang out, and encourage each other. All men are welcome!
Garden Work Night – Wednesday, August 23rd
Each Wednesday we will have our summer community garden work nights. Meet at the garden (located at 15th St & 1st Ave) from 5-7pm to help out!
Women’s Movement Group – Thursday, August 24th
This fall we are going to keep dancing together as we expand our movement range and honor our stories! The early fall session will begin on August 24 and run until October 5. Class is held Thursdays from 7-8pm at The Well. Pay what makes you happy ($5-10 suggested)
Drop In Hours – Friday, August 25th
Join in our Friday open hours at The Well! Anyone is welcome to come use the space from 10am – 4pm.
Solidarity Prayer Rally – Saturday, August 26th
Uncommon Grounds Cafe is hosting a Solidarity Prayer Rally pray for peace and unity in our nation. It will be held on Saturday from 9-11am at the Uncommon Grounds Cafe in Aliquippa (380 Franklin Ave). Check out the event page for more details.
First Day of Class for Geneva students – August 28
Youth Dance Class – September 7
This class is for ALL children and youth ages 5 and up! We will be expanding our movement range, learning meaningful dances, and nurturing our artistic voice! Pay as you go and pay what you are able options are available. Drop in and ongoing registration welcome. The early fall session will begin on September 7 and run until October 5. Class is held Thursdays, from 5:30-6:30pm at The Well. Cost is $25/session
Rides for Tyler and Maci
The Pattersons are looking for help with getting transportation to and from appointments. They recently moved to College Hill. We are looking to put together a team of people who are available to provide a ride once per month. If you are able, get in touch with Dave Slebodnik (724-875-7286).
Aliquippa Impact Positions

Kevin was diagnosed with cancer and has started chemo. Please keep him in your prayers.
Darcie’s group home is a stressful place for her to live and she is trying to get an apartment on her own. She also asks for prayer for her mom’s appointment with a gastrointestinal surgeon.
