Here’s what SOMA’s up to:
WORSHIP GATHERING
September 10th: Worship Gathering, Communion, & Potluck Lunch
We will meet at our regular time of 11:15am at The Well (1401 6th Ave) to share conversation, pray and sing together. Jim Capps will be bringing us the message from Matthew 4 as we talk about “God’s Dream for the Church”. We will also share in communion together. After the service we will have our monthly potluck lunch; please bring a dish to share if you are able!
5:00pm – College Student Cookout at the Slebodnik’s house
Geneva students – join us as we kick off the year with a cookout! Hosted by Dave and Kristen at their house (1327 3rd Ave, Beaver Falls).

THIS WEEK
No Farmers’ Market – Monday, September 4th
It’s Labor Day! The market is off today; however, there is a weekly market in Chippewa on Tuesdays from 3:30-6:30pm if you need a replacement.
Men’s Night – Monday, September 4th
Every Monday @ 6:30pm at The Well will be a Men’s Night for guys to meet, hang out, and encourage each other. All men are welcome!
Garden Work Night – Wednesday, September 6th
Each Wednesday we will have our summer community garden work nights. Meet at the garden (located at 15th St & 1st Ave) from 5-7pm to help out!
Youth Dance Class – September 7th
This class is for ALL children and youth ages 5 and up! We will be expanding our movement range, learning meaningful dances, and nurturing our artistic voice! Pay as you go and pay what you are able options are available. Drop in and ongoing registration welcome. The early fall session will begin on September 7 and run until October 5. Class is held Thursdays, from 5:30-6:30pm at The Well. Cost is $25/session. Email crawford.julia@gmail.com to sign up.
Women’s Movement Group – Thursday, September 7th
This fall we are going to keep dancing together as we expand our movement range and honor our stories! The early fall session will begin on August 24 and run until October 5. Class is held Thursdays from 7-8pm at The Well. Pay what makes you happy ($5-10 suggested)
Drop In Hours – Friday, September 8th
Join in our Friday open hours at The Well! Anyone is welcome to come use the space from 10am – 4pm.
UPCOMING
6th Annual Golf Outing Benefit – September 15
Registration goes from now until the morning of September 15th. Start of the event at 9am at the Beaver Valley Golf Club. Benefits the Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls. Call 724-846-4340 or see the registration form for more information.
Evangelism Training Seminar – September 16
First Baptist Church in Beaver Falls is offering Got Style: A Personality-Based Evangelism Training Seminar on Saturday, September 16th. It will he held from 9am-noon in the President’s Dining Room in Alexander Dining Hall at Geneva College. Dr. Jeff Johnson, who spoke at the Beaver Falls Pentecost Service on June 4th, will be back in town to lead the seminar.

Cleaning Day at The Well – September 23 or 24
We will be having a big clean-up/organizing day at The Well during the weekend of September 23 and 24th. We haven’t settled on exactly when yet, but there there will be pizza and we’ll use all the help we can get! Keep an eye out for more details in the coming week.
Neighborhood Watch Meeting – September 25
7:00 pm at the Second Baptist Church (Fellowship Hall Annex), 2322 10th Ave., Beaver Falls. These monthly meetings last approximately one hour and provide residents with an opportunity to ask questions and register concerns.
Tiger Pause Benefit: Pittsburgh Pirates Players – September 25
Tiger Pause Youth Ministry has invited the Pittsburgh Pirate Players David Freese and Josh Bell to Beaver Falls on September 25, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm. This is a fundraiser to be located at Beaver County Auto. Tickets are $20 and will benefit Tiger Pause. There will also be an auction featuring items such as signed jerseys, bats, etc. There will be a Chinese Auction and a Silent Auction, and a 50/50 tickets sales. You are encouraged to bring pictures or other Pirate items to get autographs [one item per person]. Please call 724 843 2384 for more info.

Rides for Tyler and Maci
The Pattersons are looking for help with getting transportation to and from appointments. They recently moved to College Hill. We are looking to put together a team of people who are available to provide a ride once per month. If you are able, get in touch with Dave Slebodnik (724-875-7286).
Aliquippa Impact Positions
